Le printemps!

Hooray for warm weather and sunshine in Angers! It's been so nice out lately... Saturday we went to a new indoor/outdoor pool and it was warm enough (with the heated pool) to swim outside! I especially enjoyed the comfy built-in chair-like recliner things in the pools, more so than the slides that the others were digging. And I learned a little in the cultural differences between England and France. Samantha told us that in some pools in the UK men aren't allowed to wear speedos, whereas in pools in France men have to! Swim trunks aren't allowed (Samantha's boyfriend wore some when they went to the pool and he was whistled out and had to get a pair from the vending machine. So yes, there's a vending machine with swimsuits and goggles.) Afterwards we stopped by a little cafe and time slipped by slowly à la francais.

My street looking pretty and springy this week under a pale pink and blue sky.

And sunsets the past few days have been spectacular. Too pretty to truly capture in a photo, but I try anyways.

Last night Samantha and I went on a bike ride to take advantage of the warmth and the crazy late sunset (close to 9:00?!) This street has dogwoods blooming on each block; the flowers and their sweet scent reminded me of home and good ol' Steeplechase.

Houses looking beautiful around town.
 Wisteria.

Sam and I stopped at a bench by la Maine and I took photos 2,565 and 2,566 of these sights :)
