And another day, sore! Tons of walking yesterday in the beautifully walkable city of Paris. Just seeing the city with Suzanne!!
The sunrise was gorgeous on the train to Paris. I was reading my novel on the French Revolution from John on the way down... It's makes the trip into Paris extra fascinating for me. I was so moved reading that D'Anton was beheaded at the Place de la Concorde just 6 months after Louis, since I was presently all wrapped up in reading about his, and his friends, childhood.
Then little sister arrived! And we took the RER into the city.
And then the metro.
Outdoor seafood bar.
Jardin du Luxembourg.
Bridge over to the Ile St Louis
Same spot, same pose, different Camp.
We grabbed a baguette sanwich for lunch and some hot wine to stay warm while waiting in the line to get into Notre Dame. The line went really faster than we could even drink the hot wine; March must be a good time to visit Paris.
We continued the tour of Paris from Notre Dame past the Louvre and the Jardin des Tuilleries to the Arc de Triomphe on the Champs Élysées. Next destination, La tour Eiffel! I would have taken tons more pics, but my phone died... Fortunately Zan had hers still!
I'm une invalide at Hôtel des Invalides.
Swung by the park outside Rodin's house.
Finally a little rainy walk back Gare Montparnasse.

Marvelous! Looks like a couple of fashion models on a jaunt through Paris on their day off.
