Saturday morning market at Jardin du Mail

Back to back posts... Because I just got back from my very first trip to the beautiful market at Jardin du Mail. It was so nice to experience some of what makes the market shopping experience so great- much better prices than at the store (and way better prices towards the end when they're trying to sell as much as possible before packing up), fresh local products, the man you bought avocados from telling you what day to eat them, and the lovely atmosphere. I did occasionally come across vegetables from Peru or Chile but its mostly all French, and a lot very local.

The market seemed to go on forever!

Artichoke bouquets, a picture for you Mom!! :) most of the artichokes were just a euro each, not too shabby.
